Maria Nikolayevna Prusakova (Russian:Мария Николаевна Прусакова; born 4 September 1983) is a Russian politician, who serves as a member of theState Duma since 2021.
A member of theCommunist Party, she was elected to represent theRubtsovsk constituency in the2021 Russian legislative election, becoming one of the few people to have defeated a candidate of the rulingUnited Russia party in constituency seats.[1]
In her capacity as a member of parliament, she was placed on the sanctions list of theUnited Kingdom in relation to the2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Prusakova was considered as a possible candidate for her party in the2024 Russian presidential election.[2]
