Margaret Lewis Norrie State Park is a 356-acre (1.44 km2)state park[2] inDutchess County,New York in the United States. The park is located on the east shore of theHudson River in theTown of Hyde Park and also includesEsopus Island.[5]
Margaret Lewis Norrie State Park is adjacent toOgden Mills & Ruth Livingston Mills State Park, and the two parks are collectively known as Mills-Norrie State Park.[1]
The park's lands were donated to New York State byGeraldine Morgan Thompson in memory of her sister, Margaret Lewis Norrie.[3] A largeCivilian Conservation Corps camp existed at the park in 1937, housing workers that were developing the park's facilities.[6]
