Marek Ostrowski (22 November 1959 – 6 March 2017) was a Polishfootballer who played as adefender. He representedPoland at the1986 FIFA World Cup.
He is one of the most notable players ofPogoń Szczecin during his time at the club, as he played 222 games, scoring 30 goals.[1]
Ostrowski made his debut forPoland in a January 1981friendly match againstJapan and earned a total of 37 caps, scoring 1 goal.[2] His final international was an October 1987 friendly match againstCzechoslovakia.[3]

He was hospitalized in January 2017 after a heart attack. He died in his sleep in March 2017, a few days after being discharged by the hospital.[4]
