Marciana (Lycia)

Marciana was a town inancient Lycia, with a bishopric that was asuffragan of that ofMyra.[1][2]

The author of the article in the 1910Catholic Encyclopedia used the spellingMarciane.[3]

The town is not mentioned by any author and its exact location remains unknown, but the see figures in theNotitiae episcopatuum from the 6th to the 12th or 13th century.[3]
