Marcel Emmerich (born 12 May 1991) is a German politician ofAlliance 90/The Greens who has served as amember of theBundestag since 2021.[1]
Emmerich was born inReutlingen.
Emmerich completed hisbachelor's degree inPolitical andSocial studies at theUniversity of Würzburg in 2016. He has been studying Political and Administrative sciences at theUniversity of Hagen since 2017.[citation needed]
From 2011 to 2015, Emmerich was the state spokesperson for theGreen Youth in Baden-Württemberg. In October 2015 he was elected to the state board ofAlliance 90/The Greens inBaden-Württemberg. Since October 2017 he has also been the district chairman of the Ulm Greens.[2]
Emmerich moved up on 1 June 2021 as a member of the19th Bundestag via the state list whenDanyal Bayaz resigned.[3] He has since been serving on the Committee on Internal Affairs.[4]
