Maral Baniadam (Persian: مارال بنیآدم; born September 20, 1981) is an Iranian actress. She won theCrystal Simorgh for Best Actress at the 42ndFajr International Film Festival for her performance asParvin E'tesami in the 2024 biographical filmParvin.[1][2]
Maral Baniadam was born on September 20, 1981, inTehran. She completed an undergraduate course in the field of acting.[3][4][5][6] She has a daughter and a son, named Asal and Iliya respectively.[7][8][9]
As an actress, she started her career in theatre and completed acting training courses held under supervision ofMahtab Nasirpour inCanada. In early stage of her career, she played in “Drought and Lies” (directed by Pedram Alizadeh) andOscar winner film,The Salesman (directed byAsghar Farhadi)[10][11][12] Among other films she played as an actress is “Gisum” andIn the Arms of the Tree screened in 38thFajr Film Festival[13][14][15][16] As a theatre actress, Maral Baniadam has also played some plays like “The Other Side of the Mirror”, “Bernard Died” and “God of Carnage” directed byAli Sarabi which the lather gained the enthusiasm of the audiences.[7]
