Manor Top is atram stop on theSouth Yorkshire Supertram network, opened on 5 December 1994.[1] It is located on Ridgeway Road, inManor, near a smallbus interchange with the same name. It is near Manor Top Medical Centre and Manor Library.
This stop was opened along with the track section betweenSpring Lane andGleadless Townend in December 1994. The line was extended further toHalfway in March 1995.[2]
Manor Top tram stop has twolow-levelside platforms, situated on either side of the wide road. The trams share the road with other traffic, temporarily merging into tram-only sections on the road to get to the platforms.[3]
At the centre of each platform,passenger information displays stand and show estimated arrival times for trams.[4] There are also two short ramps at each end of the platforms, providing step-free access for passengers.[5]
The Blue route has a peak frequency of 5 trams per hour (every 12 minutes), and the Purple route runs hourly Monday−Saturday and every 30 minutes (peak frequency) on Sundays.[6]
