Mangal Prasad Tharu (Nepali:मंगल प्रसाद थारु) is aNepalese politician. He was elected to thePratinidhi Sabha in the1999 election on behalf of theNepali Congress.^[1]

In the2017 Nepalese provincial elections, Tharu ran for theBardiya 1(B) of theLumbini Provincial Assembly, and was defeated byCommunist Party of Nepal (Maoist Centre) candidateTilak Ram Sharma.^[2]
