Malik Bouziane (Arabic:مالك بوزيان) (born January 11, 1978) is an Algerian formerprofessional boxer. As an amateur, he competed at the2004 Summer Olympics.
At the2004 Summer Olympics, Bouziane was stopped in the second round of thebantamweight (54 kg) division byRussia'sGennady Kovalev.
Bouziane had won the gold medal in the same division one year earlier, at theAll-Africa Games inAbuja, Nigeria. He was a member of the team that competed forAfrica at the2005 Boxing World Cup inMoscow, Russia.
Bouziane is originally from the village of Taourirt Adene in theTizi Ouzou Province in theKabylie region ofAlgeria.[1]
