Malawah (Somali:Malawax𐒐𐒖𐒄𐒝𐒄), also known asMalawax (Arabic:ملوح), is a sweetpancake. It has origins from Somalia, though eaten widely in Yemen with its own influences.[1][2] It is a type of pancake eaten regularly inSomalia,Djibouti, parts ofEthiopia andKenya.

Malawah is a plate-sized sweet pancake that is eaten for breakfast or as a snack anytime during the day.[3] It is similar to a sweet crepe and is flavored with cardamom.[4]
