TheMakhulong Stadium (sometimes referred to asTembisa Stadium) is a South African multi-sports stadium inTembisa, a township ofEkurhuleni.In 2009, it underwent aR38 million renovation and was brought up toPremier Soccer League standards.[citation needed]

In June 2010 acrowd crush of spectators before an exhibition game between the Nigeria and North Korea national football teams injured 16 people.[4]

In March 2020, the Ekurhuleni municipality announced that it would renovate the stadium forHighlands Park F.C.[5]
