Make America Wait Again is a sculpture ofElon Musk. The Michigan-based artist's identity is unknown.[1][2] According to NBC Montana, the sculpture took approximately six weeks to complete and was "first drafted in a computer model, prior to being 3D-printed and reinforced".[3]
The 12-foot tall sculpture is a bust ofElon Musk.[4][5] He has a "smug expression", according toLa Voce di New York.[2]Cowboy State Daily wrote, "Sporting a well-coiffed mane, blank eyes and a satisfied smirk, the Musk bust rests under a canopy held up by pillars adorned by patriotic blue stars." Text reads, "Make America Wait Again. Now With Longer Lines Thanks To DOGE Cuts."[6] The work is considered a form of politicalprotest,[7] seemingly in response to theDepartment of Government Efficiency's (DOGE) cuts to theNational Park Service.[8]
The sculpture has appeared atArches National Park,[9][10]Mount Rainier National Park,Yellowstone National Park,[6] andYosemite National Park.[4]
