Makarand Madhukar Anaspure (Marathi pronunciation:[məkəɾən̪d̪ ənaːspuɾe]; born 22 July 1973) is anIndianactor, director and producer mainly appeared inMarathi films andtheatre.^[2][3][1]

Anaspure was born inChhatrapati Sambhajinagar into aMarathi-speaking family. He completed his primary education inBeed district.^[4] He is studied from Saraswati Bhuwan college inScience stream and graduated inDrama, performed over 400 – 500 street plays inAurangabad (now known as Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar).^[5][1]

Anaspure came to fame after having worked inSaatchya Aat Gharat andKaydyacha Bola.^[6] He creditsNana Patekar for his access into thefilm industry.^[6] Anaspure is known for his ability to use theMarathwada accent of theMarathi language.

His popular hits wereDe Dhakka,Gallit Gondhal, Dillit Mujra,Gadhavacha Lagna and Saade Made Tin.

Makarand has also acted in Bollywood films and Hindi TV serials likeCID,Tu Tu Main Main and films likeMy Friend Ganesh 3,Jis desh mein Ganga rehta hain,Vaastav andYashwant.

Anaspure directed theMarathifilmDambis, in 2011.^[7] He has also produced films.

Makarand Anaspure married Shilpa Anaspure, in a traditional ceremony on 30 November 2001 inPune. Shilpa Anaspure hails from a small a town calledVarveli, nearGuhagar in Konkan, but she was born and brought up inMumbai. They had a love marriage, the couple met for the first time in 2000, while working in the dramaJau Bai Jorat. They have a son Indraneil and a daughter Indrayani. After marriage, Shilpa acted in a few films with Makarand Anaspure includingSumbaran (2009),Goshta Choti Dongraevadhi (2009),Tukya Tukavila Nagya Nachvila (2010),Kapus Kondyachi Goshta (2014).^[8][9]

In September 2015, Anaspure andNana Patekar established an organisation calledNaam Foundation, which works to provide farmers aid to overcome the drought conditions in ruralMarathwada andVidarbha in the state ofMaharashtra, India.^[10]
