Mahendragiri is a hill in India inTirunelveli District, SouthTamil Nadu.[1] The hill is located inTirunelveli District[2] and is part of the southern range of theWestern Ghats, with an elevation of 1,645.2 metres (5,398 ft).[3]
TheISRO Propulsion Complex, a test facility forIndian Space Research Organisation's launch vehicle and satellite propulsion systems, is situated on the lower slopes of this mountain.
Mahendragiri R.F is thereserve forest at theThovalaitaluk ofKanniyakumari district. Madhwa Hindu sect's saint ShriVadiraja Tirtha has described Mahendra Parvata (Mahendra giri) in his pilgrimage travelogueTirtha Prabandha.
