In2022 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly election,BJP candidate Satish Mahana won the elections by defeatingSamajwadi Party candidate Fateh Bahadur Singh Gill by the margin of 82,261 votes. Currently he is serving as theSpeaker of theLegislative Assembly.
