Mahakali is avillage development committee inBaitadi District in theMahakali Zone of westernNepal. It is located on theMahakali River which is also the border withUttarakhand state,India across fromJhulaghat. Amraad and Basku are main places in this village. Indian andNepalese nationals cross without restrictions, however there is acustoms checkpoint for goods.
At the time of the1991 Nepal census it had a population of 2,589 and had 412 houses in the village.[1]
