Maciej Murawski (Polish pronunciation:[ˈmat͡ɕɛjmuˈrafskʲi]) (born 20 February 1974) is a Polish former professionalfootballer who played as adefender andmidfielder.[1] He is currently the chairman ofLechia Zielona Góra.[2]
Born inZielona Góra, Murawski represented clubs such as his hometown club Zryw, Ślęza Wrocław,Polonia Bytom,Lech Poznań,Legia Warsaw, German outfitArminia Bielefeld, as well as Greek sidesAris Thessaloniki andApollon Kalamarias (Greece). He retired in 2009 after a short stint withCracovia.
At international level, he played for thePoland national team at the2002 FIFA World Cup.[3]
Following retirement, he worked as amanager for clubsLechia Zielona Góra andZawisza Bydgoszcz.[4] From 2012, he is aTV analyst andpundit, mostly known for his work for PolishCanal+.[5]
