"Ma meilleure ennemie" (English:'My Best Enemy') is a song by Belgian singer-songwriterStromae and French musicianPomme. It was released on 23 November 2024 as part of the soundtrack to the second season of theNetflix animated seriesArcane (2024), and later impacted Italian radio on 6 December, throughRiot Games andVirgin Music. The song was written by the artists alongside Alexander Seaver, as well as Stromae's brother and long-time collaborator Luc Van Haver.

In April 2025, an extended version of the soundtrack was released, which includes a new version of "Ma meilleure ennemie" featuring British rock bandColdplay and Palestinian-Chilean singerElyanna.[1]

Background

On 23 November 2024, Stromae took to social media to announce his collaboration with Pomme, saying they "crafted a special song" for the final season of the seriesArcane, which was released on Netflix the same day.[2] The song marks the return of the singer following a two-year break from music and the cancellation of hisMultitude Tour in early 2023 for health reasons.[3]

"Ma meilleure ennemie" plays during the seventh episode ofArcane's second season and accompanies a key scene that sees the charactersEkko andPowder dancing.

Commercial performance

Within its first 24 hours of availability, the song broke the record for the most streamed French-language song onSpotify on its first day.[4]

According to the website Mediatraffic, the song debuted at number 21 on Worldwide chart with 145,000 units during its first week.[5] Then, it rose to number 9 with 197,000 units.[6]
