MBC M (formerlyMBC Music) (Korean: MBC 엠, 엠비씨 엠) is a South Koreanspecialty television channel owned byMBC Plus Media. The cable channel primarily broadcasts programming related tomusic.[1]
It was first announced in July 2011, with the announcement of the shutdown ofMBC Game.[2] The channel opened on February 1, 2012, with a new music programShow Champion.
The channel was re-branded on February 2, 2020 asMBC M. The company intends to make the brand more recognizable to the digital audience and build a synergy between television and new media.
