Mücke Motorsport (also known asADAC Berlin-Brandenburg) is anauto racing team based inGermany.
Mücke Motorsport was formed byPeter Mücke in 1998 to run his sonStefan Mücke in the GermanFormula BMW ADAC series, in which they were champions.[1] Stefan and the team moved toGerman Formula Three in 1999, where the driver finished runner-up in 2001. Also in 2001,Markus Winkelhock joined the team. After Stefan left Formula 3 for the DTM in 2002, Winkelhock was joined by Sven Heidfeld and Marcel Lasée. The team moved to the newFormula Three Euroseries in 2003, whereChristian Klien finished runner-up.[1]
Mücke competed in Formula BMW ADAC from 1998 to 2007.Sebastian Vettel won the title for the team in 2004.[1]
For 2010, Peter Mücke's partnership withRalf Schumacher sees the RSC Mücke Motorsport team enter the newly formedGP3 Series. DutchmanRenger van der Zande spearheads the driver line-up alongside compatriotNigel Melker and GermanTobias Hegewald.
The team operated inFormula 4 from 2015 to 2021 before they closed their open-wheeler program citing cost concerns.PHM Racing was created using assets and personnel left over from the program.[2]
The team began runningMercedes in theDeutsche Tourenwagen Masters in2005 with Stefan Mücke andAlexandros Margaritis as drivers. Mücke remained with the team in 2006 and was joined byDaniel la Rosa andSusie Stoddart. In 2007 Stefan Mücke left the team and was replaced byMathias Lauda. La Rosa, Stoddart and Lauda left the team for 2008, and were replaced byRalf Schumacher andMaro Engel.[1] Lauda returned to partner Engel in 2009.
