Luo Xumin (simplified Chinese:罗徐敏;traditional Chinese:羅徐敏;pinyin:Luó Xúmǐn; born 5 August 2002) is a Chinesebadminton player.[1] She is affiliated with the Guangzhou team.[2] She was part of China's team that won the2023 Asia Mixed Team Championships.[3]
After more than two years not competing internationally, Luo and her partnerLi Yijing won their first senior international title at theVietnam International Series in November.[2][4] In the following week, they finished as the runners-up at theMalaysia International to their compatriots,Liu Shengshu andTan Ning.[5]
After successfully breaking into the top 25 in the world rankings in 2023, Luo and Li advanced to theThailand Masters final in February. They lost to the home pair,Benyapa Aimsaard andNuntakarn Aimsaard, in three tight games.[2][6] A few weeks later, the pair won their first BWF World Tour title at theGerman Open.[2][7]
In September, they reached the final of theChina Open. They emerged as champions, beating teammatesLi Wenmei andZhang Shuxian.[8]
At theKorea Masters in November, Luo and Li finished as runners-up after falling toKim Hye-jeong andKong Hee-yong in the final.[9] Two weeks later, the duo reached their fifth final of the season at theChina Masters, where they finished second to Liu and Tan.[10]
She is a student atSouth China University of Technology.[7]
