Lucy Brown (born 13 February 1979) is a British actress best known for dual roles in the science fiction TV seriesPrimeval.
Lucy Brown was born inCrawley, Sussex, but grew up inCambridgeshire. She is the daughter of Christopher Brown and Helen Burleigh and has a younger brother named Mark. She went toKing's College Prep School inCambridge and then on toOundle School in Northamptonshire which she left to attendHills Road Sixth Form College in Cambridge. She then went on to graduate from theGuildhall School of Music and Drama London. In December 2007, she was declared "Most Beautiful English Actress of the Year" by a panel of 104 actors.[1][2]
Brown's first job was in a commercial for the soap brandLux where she appeared withGisele Bündchen. She has appeared inSharpe's Challenge,Malice Aforethought,North and South withRichard Armitage,Whatever Love Means, and in the dual roles ofClaudia Brown andJenny Lewis in theITV1 science-fiction television seriesPrimeval (2007–11). After leavingPrimeval, she played a minor role inNBC'sThe Philanthropist. In 2010, she appeared inBonded By Blood andFrost oppositeDean Cain. Brown returned toPrimeval for Series 4 (as Jenny Lewis).[3]
Brown also frequently takes part in live events billed asWord Theatre.[4] She has performed for them in Los Angeles and London. She also reads for audio books.
In 2012, Brown said revealed that she andOlivia Poulet were currently writing a comedy drama.[5] In 2014, she appeared in the television dramaThe Village, cast as Harriet Kilmartin.
Brown lives in London.[6] She married actorAdam Rayner on 31 December 2015.[7][8] They have a son and daughter together.[7]
