Lucas Cashmore (born 25 August 2002) is a New Zealandrugby union player, who currently plays as afirst five-eighth forBay of Plenty in New Zealand's domesticNational Provincial Championship competition and theHurricanes inSuper Rugby.[2]

Early career

Cashmore attendedTauranga Boys' College, where he played rugby for their first XV team.[3] Both in 2021 and 2022, Cashmore represented theChiefs U20 side in the Super Rugby Aotearoa U20 tournament.[4][5]

Senior career

Cashmore has representedBay of Plenty in theNational Provincial Championship since 2021; he was named in their full squad for the first time for the2022 Bunnings NPC.[6]

On 9 November 2023, Cashmore was named in theBlues squad for the2024 Super Rugby Pacific season.[7]

Cashmore was named in theHurricanes squad for the2025 Super Rugby Pacific season on 12 November 2024.[8]

International career

In 2022, Cashmore was named in theNew Zealand Under 20 team[9] and played in all three matches of the2022 Oceania Rugby Under 20 Championship.[10] New Zealand won the tournament after winning all three games.[11]
