Lubzina[lubˈʑina] is avillage in the administrative district ofGmina Ropczyce, withinRopczyce-Sędziszów County,Subcarpathian Voivodeship, in south-eastern Poland.[2]

The local Catholic parish was founded in 1222 by Janusz Ligęza from theLigęza noble family.[3] In the late 19th century, the village had a population of 287.[3]
According to the1921 census, the village had a population of 216, entirelyPolish by nationality and 97.2%Roman Catholic by confession.[4]
During theGerman occupation of Poland (World War II), the local forest was the site of a massacre of 104Poles, includingresistance members, committed by the occupiers on June 27, 1940, as part of theAB-Aktion.[5]
The PolishNational road 94 runs through the village, and theA4 motorway (part of theEuropean route E40) runs nearby, north of the village.
The localfootball club is Strażak Lubzina.[6] It competes in the lower leagues.
