Lower Thames and Medway Passenger Boat Company was a river boat company which provided cruises on theRiver Thames inGravesend and London, UK. Bateaux London cruises operate on the Thames under licence fromLondon River Services, part ofTransport for London.
The company provided cruises on theRiver Thames. Princess Pocahontas cruises begin at Gravesend and head west pastTilbury Docks, under theQueen Elizabeth II Bridge at Dartford and through theThames Barrier, calling atGreenwich Pier. Passengers may remain on board for an optional "stay-aboard" cruise along the Thames, which returns to Greenwich.
The company owns a 110-foot (34 m)-long, double-decker leisure boat, MVPrincess Pocahontas with seating for 134 passengers. It is named after theNative American PrincessPocahontas who is buried atGravesend. They also own the passenger boatDuchess M which used to operate the ferry service between Gravesend and Tilbury.
The company appointed administrators on 19 April 2018[1] and was dissolved on 11 February 2023.[2]
