Lower Juba (Somali:Jubbada Hoose,Maay:Jubithy Hoosy,Arabic:جوبا السفلى,Italian:Basso Giuba) is an administrative region (gobol) in southernSomalia.[4] With its capital atKismayo, it lies in theautonomousJubaland region.
Lower Juba is bordered byKenya, the Somali regions ofGedo andMiddle Juba (Jubbada Dhexe), and the Somali Sea. The province is named after theJubba River that passes through it and empties into the Somali Sea atGoobweyn. TheLag Badana National Park is situated in Lower Juba.
