
Louis XIII Crowned by Victory is a 1635 oil on canvas painting byPhilippe de Champaigne.[1][2] Probably commissioned byCardinal Richelieu, it showsLouis XIII,King of France, crowned by a personification ofVictory to mark his forces' victory in theSiege of La Rochelle. Since 1796 it has been in theLouvre, inParis.[3][4]
