Louis Thomas Buffon (born 28 December 2007) is a professionalfootballer who plays as awinger forSerie A clubPisa. Born in Italy, Buffon plays for theCzech Republic at the youth level.
Born on 28 December 2007 inTurin, Italy, Louis is the son of Italian goalkeeperGianluigi Buffon and Czech modelAlena Šeredová.[1] He has a brother, David Lee, a half-brother, and a half-sister.[2] Buffon was given the middle name Thomas in honour of former Cameroon goalkeeperThomas N'Kono.[2]
Buffon started his football career in 2017 atSisport.[3] In 2020, he made his debut forJuventus's under-13 team.[3] During the 2022–23 season, Buffon scored 17 goals in 20 games with CBS Scuola Calcio's under-16 team.[3] He moved to the youth academy ofPisa in 2023.[4]
On 9 March 2025, Buffon made his professional debut with Pisa, in a 3–2Serie B away defeat againstSpezia.[5][6] He made hisCoppa Italia debut on 25 September 2025, in a 1–0 away defeat againstTorino.[7] HisSerie A debut came on 5 October 2025, in Pisa's 4–0 away defeat againstBologna.[8]
Buffon was eligible to play for bothItaly and theCzech Republic, thanks to parental ties. He opted to play for theCzech Republic U18 team in 2025,[9] and made his unofficial debut in a game against the reserves ofDynamo České Budějovice.[3]
