Spanish boxer (1908–1941)

In thisSpanish name, the first or paternal surname is Vitrià and the second or maternal family name is Barrera.

Llorenç Vitrià Barrera (2 February 1908, inBarcelona – 18 June 1941, in Gusen, Austria) was a Spanishboxer who competed in the1924 Summer Olympics.[1]

In 1924 he was eliminated in the second round of theflyweight class after losing his fight toJock MacGregor. Due his exile to France after theSpanish Civil War, he was deported to theMauthausen concentration camp in Austria in 1940 and he died in 1941 in Gusen (an external concentration camp of Mauthausen).[2]
