Lorenz S. Cederbaum (born 26 October 1946 inBraunschweig, Germany) is aGermanphysical chemist.

He studiedphysics at theUniversity of Munich and obtained his diplome in 1970, hisPh.D. in 1972 underGeorg Hohlneicher, andhabilitation in 1976. He was professor at theUniversity of Freiburg before becoming professor fortheoretical chemistry at theUniversity of Heidelberg in 1979.

Cederbaum is member of theInternational Academy of Quantum Molecular Science and theAcademy of Sciences Leopoldina.
