Loren H. RiesebergFRSCFRS FRSB (born 1961) is a Canadian-Americanbotanist.

Born in Alberta, Canada, his family moved to the US. He graduated fromWashington State University with a Ph.D. in 1987.

He is a Professor of Botany at theUniversity of British Columbia and a Distinguished Professor of Biology atIndiana University,[1][2] and head of the Rieseberg Lab.[3][4] In October 2016, he was appointed the Director of the UBC Biodiversity Research Centre, replacingSally Otto.[5] He is on the editorial boards of numerous journals and has editedMolecular Ecology for many years.[2][6][7]
