Lok Ningthou (Meiteiꯂꯣꯛ ꯅꯤꯪꯊꯧ) is the God associated with streams and gorges inMeitei mythology andreligion ofAncient Kangleipak. He is the Guardian God of the Southern direction. He is a son ofWangpulen, the God of water.[1][2]

Description

God Lok Ningthou is also given the titleKhana Chaoba like his fatherWangpulen. He is also known asNoushuba Mihingchi (Old Manipuri:Noushupa Mihingchi). He is known for having seven children.[1]

Lok Ningthou is one of theLainingthous. He is also one of the tenMaikei Ngaakpa Lais.[1]
