Loisin (French pronunciation:[lwazɛ̃];Arpitan:Luèsin) is acommune in theHaute-Savoiedepartment in theAuvergne-Rhône-Alpesregion in south-easternFrance.[3] It has approximately 1500 inhabitants.
In 1860 after the annexation from theSavoy, Loisin became part of the canton ofDouvaine. Since 2015, it belongs to the canton ofSciez after the cantonal redistribution law from 2014. The commune is part of thecommunauté d'agglomérationThonon Agglomération.[3]
In 2008, the commune engaged aSustainable Development policy with the creation of anagenda 21.
