She made 15 films, includingUnder Texas Skies (1940) in which she was the female lead alongsideThe Three Mesquiteers.[2] She made five appearances in theHiggins Family series, playing the part of Betty Higgins.[citation needed]
Ranson was married to Charles Abbott Root, and they had a daughter.[3]
