Salmon chowder (Finnish:lohikeitto[ˈlohiˌkei̯tːo],Swedish:laxsoppa) is a common dish inFinland and otherNordic countries. It consists ofsalmon fillets, boiledpotatoes, carrots andleeks.[1][2] The dish is served hot, and typically seasoned with freshdill,allspice, salt and black pepper. The soup is made with cream or whole milk, making it achowder with a creamy flavour and texture.[2][3]
