Liverpool Plains Shire was alocal government area in theNorth West Slopes region ofNew South Wales, Australia.
Liverpool Plains Shire was proclaimed on 7 March 1906, one of 134 shires created after the passing of theLocal Government (Shires) Act 1905.[1]
The shire offices were inGunnedah and urban centres in the Shire includedBreeza,Carroll,Curlewis,Mullaley andTambar Springs.[2]
Liverpool Plains Shire amalgamated with theMunicipality of Gunnedah to formGunnedah Shire on 1 January 1980.[3]
