Liu Shengshu (simplified Chinese:刘圣书;traditional Chinese:劉聖書;pinyin:Liú Shèngshū; born 8 April 2004) is a Chinesebadminton player.[1] She won the women's doubles silver medal at the2024 Olympic Games and a gold medal at the2025 Asian Championships. She also helped the national team win the2023 Asia Mixed Team Championships and the2024 Uber Cup.[2] In her junior career, Liu won both the girls' and mixed doubles events at the2022 World Junior Championships.[3][4] Liu reached a career high of world number 1 in theBWF World Rankings on 22 October 2024 with her partnerTan Ning.
After winning the World Junior Championships, she partneredTan Ning and won against their compatriotsLi Yijing andLuo Xumin at theMalaysia International in November 2022.[5]
In 2023, she partnered withZhang Shuxian, and won the2023 Indonesia Masters on her World Tour debut.[6] Her partnership with Tan continued to excel, helping to deliver the final point for the Chinese team when they competed againstSouth Korea at the2023 Badminton Asia Mixed Team Championships.[7] In April, Liu and Tan won the2023 Spain Masters after defeating their teammatesChen Fanghui andDu Yue with a score of 21–8, 16–21, 21–18.[8]
In 2024, in her debut at the Olympics, Liu and her partner Tan advanced to thewomen's doubles final.[9] They lost the gold medal match to their senior compatriotChen Qingchen andJia Yifan.[10]
In 2025, Liu and Tan won the gold medal at theAsian Championships.[11]
