TheLithuanian Figure Skating Championships are held annually to crown thenational champions of Lithuania. Skaters compete inmen's singles, women's singles, pair skating, andice dance at the senior, junior, and novice levels. However, not every discipline is held every year due to a lack of participants. The event is organized by theLithuanian Skating Federation, the sport's national governing body.
The Lithuanian government cancelled the 1992 Lithuanian Championships after a Russian/Lithuanian pair –Margarita Drobiazko andPovilas Vanagas – competed in ice dance at the Olympics, World Championships, and European Championships without permission, as Drobiazko was not yet a Lithuanian citizen despite being married to a Lithuanian.[1]
During the 2016–17 season, a combined event was organized withLatvia.[2] The results were then separated to form national podiums.
The 2026 Lithuanian Championships are scheduled to be held 5–7 December 2025 inKaunas.[3]
