She was formally abandoned by her owners leaving the canal authorities to arrange salvage on a special contract.[9]
HilaryUnited KingdomThecargo liner ran aground at Carmel Head,Anglesey and was holed. All passengers were taken off bylifeboat. She was refloated later that day and sailed toLiverpool,Lancashire for inspection.[4]

SapphireUnited KingdomThecoaster collided withClan Cameron (United Kingdom) 15.5 nautical miles (28.7 km) offSt David's Head,Pembrokeshire.[10] Two of her nine crew were killed.Sapphire was taken in tow byNeptunia ( Germany) andWarden (United Kingdom) but sank 7 nautical miles (13 km) south of theSouth Bishop Lighthouse.[11]
ZeesterNetherlandsThe coaster came ashore atScroby,Norfolk, United Kingdom. She was later refloated.[8]
