This is alist of people from New Mexico, which includes notable people who were either born or have lived for a significant period of time in theU.S. state ofNew Mexico or its predecessors, the Spanish and MexicanNuevo México and the AmericanNew Mexico Territory.[1][2] They are referred to by the demonym "New Mexican", and by theSpanish language demonym "Neomexicano" or "Neomejicano" (as well as the feminine "Neomexicana" or "Neomejicana").

  • Pete Jimenez (1917–2006) – U.S. Army soldier in World War II
  • Hiroshi "Hershey" Miyamura (Japanese: 宮村 浩, October 6, 1925 – November 29, 2022) was a United States Army soldier and a recipient of the Medal of Honor, the United States military's highest award for valor, for his actions during the Korean War. He was one of the last two surviving Medal of Honor recipients of the Korean War, along with Ralph Puckett Jr.
