TheIndian Armed Forces is the overall unifiedmilitary of theRepublic of India encompassing theIndian Army, theIndian Air Force and theIndian Navy. ThePresident of India serves as thecommander-in-chief of the armed forces. With an estimated total active force of 1,325,000 personnel, maintainsthe world's second largest armed forces.
