This is a list consisting of all theheads of government of modern and contemporaryRomania (i.e.prime ministers, both infull constitutional powers andacting orad interim), since the formal unification of thePrincipalities of Moldavia and Wallachia in 1862 to the present day.

The incumbent prime minister of Romania, as of 26 October 2025, isIlie Bolojan, the current leader of theNational Liberal Party (PNL), who has been serving since 23 June 2025. TheBolojan cabinet is composed of the PNL, theSocial Democratic Party (PSD), theSave Romania Union (USR) and theDemocratic Alliance of Hungarians in Romania (UDMR).

From 1859 to 1862, the two Romanian principalities (more specificallyMoldavia andWallachia) had their own government each, and a cabinet, seated inIași andBucharest respectively. In 1862, PrinceAlexandru Ioan Cuza changed theConstitution and from then on there has been a single unified central government, permanently seated in Bucharest, the capital ofRomania.
