WandaVision is an American televisionminiseries created byJac Schaeffer for the streaming serviceDisney+ and based onMarvel Comics featuring the charactersWanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch andVision. It isthe first television series in theMarvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) produced byMarvel Studios, with Schaeffer serving ashead writer andMatt Shakman directing all nine episodes.Elizabeth Olsen andPaul Bettany reprise their respective roles asWanda Maximoff andVision from theMCU films,[1] withDebra Jo Rupp,Fred Melamed,[2]Kathryn Hahn,Teyonah Parris,[1]Randall Park,Kat Dennings,[3] andEvan Peters also part of the cast.[4] The series pays homage to pastsitcoms, with Maximoff and Vision living in a reality that takes them through different decades of televisiontropes.[1]

WandaVision's first two episodes premiered on Disney+ on January 15, 2021; subsequent episodes were released weekly until March 5.[5] The series garnered numerous awards and nominations; it was nominated for twenty-threePrimetime Emmy Awards (the most of any limited series that year[6]), includingOutstanding Limited or Anthology Series, and won threeCreative Arts Emmy Awards. From major guilds, it was nominated for aProducers Guild of America Award, aWriters Guild of America Award, and aDirectors Guild of America Award.WandaVision was nominated for twoGolden Globe Awards, fourTCA Awards, and fourCritics' Choice Television Awards. In genre awards, the series won threeCritics' Choice Super Awards, aHarvey Award, and aNebula Award and was nominated for threeSaturn Awards, aHugo Award, and aDragon Award. TheAmerican Film Institute namedWandaVision as one of the top television programs of 2021.
