Thislist of University of Texas at Austin faculty includes current and former instructors and administrators of theUniversity of Texas at Austin (UT Austin), a major research university located inAustin, Texas that is theflagship institution of theUniversity of Texas System.[1][2][3] Founded in 1883, the university has hadthe fifth largest single-campus enrollment in the nation as of Fall 2006 (and had the largest enrollment in the country from 1997 to 2003), with over 50,000 undergraduate and graduate students and 16,500 faculty and staff.[4] It currently holds thelargest enrollment of all colleges in the state of Texas.[5]
