Hammond portrays the first live-action film version of the character, appearing in atelevision series and threetelevision films. Maguire and Garfield star in their own separate film series produced byColumbia Pictures, while Holland headlines the films co-produced by Columbia andMarvel Studios. Moore, Steinfeld and Johnson co-headline theSpider-Verse films. Simmons portrays various different versions ofJ. Jonah Jameson throughout theSpider-Man films.

The list is sorted by film and character, as some characters may have been portrayed by multiple actors.

Nicholas Hammond is the first live-action film portrayal of the character, starring inThe Amazing Spider-Man television series and itsmade-for-television filmsSpider-Man (1977),Spider-Man Strikes Back (1978), andSpider-Man: The Dragon's Challenge (1981).

Tobey Maguire portrayedPeter Parker / Spider-Man in a trilogy of films produced byColumbia Pictures consisting ofSpider-Man (2002),Spider-Man 2 (2004), andSpider-Man 3 (2007). Anew iteration of the character was portrayed byAndrew Garfield inThe Amazing Spider-Man (2012) andThe Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014).

Tom Holland portraysanother iteration of the character set in theMarvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), headlining a trilogy co-produced by Columbia Pictures and Marvel Studios consisting ofSpider-Man: Homecoming (2017),Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019), andSpider-Man: No Way Home (2021), the latter of which he is joined by Maguire and Garfield in supporting roles.
