List of Schedule III controlled substances (U.S.)

This is thelist of Schedule III controlled substances in the United States as defined in section 202 of theControlled Substances Act (21 U.S.C. § 812) and21 CFR1308.13. The following findings are required for substances to be placed in this schedule:

  1. The drug or other substance has a potential for abuse less than the drugs or other substances in schedulesI andII.
  2. The drug or other substance has a currently[1] accepted medical use in treatment in the United States.
  3. Abuse of the drug or other substance may lead to moderate or low physical dependence or high psychological dependence.

The complete list of Schedule III substances is as follows. TheAdministrative Controlled Substances Code Number andFederal Register citation for each substance is included.
