Punjab Kings (abbreviated asPBKS) are a franchisecricket team based inMohali,Punjab, that plays in theIndian Premier League. Established in 2008, the franchise is jointly owned byBollywood actressPreity Zinta,Wadia Group scionNess Wadia,Dabur’sMohit Burman andKaran Paul. The team plays its home matches at thePCA Stadium. The Punjab Kings'catchment areas areKashmir,Jammu,Himachal Pradesh, Punjab andHaryana, also evident from the letter sequence "K J H P H" in the banner of the team's logo.[1][2] Apart from finishing runners-up in the2014 season when they also topped the league table, the team has made only one other playoff appearance in fifteen seasons.
