Largest sweep of main categories for a program/series

[edit]

Similar to the Academy Awards's "Big Five", the so-called seven main categories of Primetime Emmy Awards are those for Outstanding Series, Lead Actor, Lead Actress, Supporting Actor, Supporting Actress, Directing and Writing for each three divisions of format programs: Comedy, Drama, and Limited or Anthology.

Three television programs have swept all seven main categories,[1][2] while six programs have won six;All in the Family is the only program to do the latter twice. Winners are noted inbold.
