List of Oregon Ducks football All-Americans

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

TheOregon Duckscollege footballteam competes as part of theNational Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division IFootball Bowl Subdivision (FBS), and represents theUniversity of Oregon in the North Division of thePac-12 Conference (Pac-12). All-America selections are individual player recognitions made after each season when numerous publications release lists of their ideal team. The NCAA recognizes five All-America lists: theAssociated Press (AP),American Football Coaches Association (AFCA), theFootball Writers Association of America (FWAA),Sporting News (SN), and theWalter Camp Football Foundation (WCFF).[1] In order for an honoree to earn a "consensus" selection, he must be selected as first team in three of the five lists recognized by the NCAA, and "unanimous" selections must be selected as first team in all five lists.[1]

Since the establishment of the team in 1894, Oregon has had 40 players honored a total of 58 times asFirst Team All-America for their performance on the field of play.[2] Included in these selections are 11 consensus selections, 5 of which wereUnanimous All-American selections earned byLaMichael James in2010,Marcus Mariota in the2014 season in which he won theHeisman Trophy,Penei Sewell in2019,Kayvon Thibodeaux in2021 andJackson Powers-Johnson in2023.
