List of Olympic venues in swimming

Olympic Swimming Stadium in Berlin hosted the 1936 Summer Olympic swimming competitions.
National Gymnasium in Tokyo hosted the 1964 Summer Olympic swimming competitions.
Georgia Tech Aquatic (now Campus Recreation) Center hosted the swimming competitions when the 1996 Summer Olympics were in Atlanta.

For theSummer Olympics there are 31venues that have been or will be used forswimming. The first venue took place in The Bay of Zea for the1896 Games.[1]Four years later, the events took place on the River Seine.[2] They were part ofevents that were on the same venue as the 1904Louisiana Purchase Exposition.[3] By the1908 Games, the first venue for swimming that was not in a lake or a river took place.[4] It was not until1920 Games that a separate venue was created for the aquatic events.[5] The first venue where indoor swimming took place was afterWorld War II at London in1948.[6]
